About the Presenter
Maris is a lower and middle school Spanish teacher in Washington, DC. She is the co-author of the book, Common Ground: Second Language Acquisition Theory Goes to the Classroom. Maris has presented at various conferences including NECTFL, SCOLT and ACTFL and has facilitated various workshops through national organizations with school districts. She also works on the We Teach Languages podcast team.
